Our curriculum is based on the Early Years Learning Framework (EYFS) which emphasized learning through play and recognizes that play is an ideal learning vehicle.

Personal, Social, and Emotional Development
Treetops Nursery provides an environment that makes learning exciting and develops curiosity. Children can become independent and self-confident, making positive relationships. They will develop a sense of community understanding the similarities and differences. They will develop skills in managing and understanding their emotions and feelings and showing respect.
Physical Development

Communication and Language
Treetops Nursery provides a language-rich learning environment that gives children opportunities for speaking and listening and for sharing their ideas and feelings. Through listening to stories and sharing a wide range of books the children will develop a love of reading.
Literacy
At Treetops Nursery, we will help children start to read and write by helping them connect sounds with letters of the alphabet and inspiring their interest through a variety of engaging reading materials. We also provide opportunities for the children to develop their mark-making; attempt to write for themselves etc.
Mathematical Development
Children are encouraged to develop their experience of numbers, patterns, shapes, volume, weight, and measurement through play and structured contexts. Activities that develop mathematical thinking include jigsaws, play dough, threading, and counting, to name a few.
Understanding the World
Children develop knowledge, skills, and understanding to help them make sense of their world. They are encouraged to explore and investigate materials and the natural world; to learn about change and patterns; to question how things work. They will also develop an understanding of technology by using programmable toys and computers.
Expressive Arts and Design
Treetops Nursery encourages the development of children’s creativity through opportunities to learn about and share their thoughts, ideas, and feelings through a mixture of art, music, movement, dance, and imaginative and role-play activities.
